deadlines...........of differnt assignments.........activities........case discussion as discussed in class

Dear all,

Aakriti already mailed you regarding instructions of IHRM , these instructions are in mail also. This is the first and the last time i am putting on blog..........from next time you have to follow the blog..........Deadlines are as follows.....
  1. Slide No. 5: Class discussion on different countries: October 25th. Keep writig and informing me after every 10 days.
  2. Presentation on 23rd October
  3. Slide No. 8 on Nov 11
  4. Slide No. 10 on September 10th and September 11th
  5. role plays September 18th
  6. Slide No. 11 September 6th
  7. Slide no. 12: October 4th
Any problems, discuss and solve

    i Saw a movie named "MAZDOOR" starring dilip kumar.
    mam its a great movie having a story based on the conflict of the workers and owners of a cotton mill.There are some problems highlighted in this movie:
    1.when workers did not get bonus then what was their reaction, though the company was in profit.
    2.what happened when A worker died on the duty but still his family didn't get any compensation
    3.what happened when the true leader of the worker was dismissed from the company.
    4.An opening of a company by the ex-worker of cotton mills.
    5. the conflict between share holders and the owner..

    mam it can be a good case study for the understanding of HR concept.
    If you think it is worth then we can discuss it in class.

Hello everyone…this is regarding a news that I came across this morning..its about the issue that outsiders must not be brought as successors…Its mainly regarding TATA Group and Infosys ,( the companies which are looking for their successors) as Ratan Tata and N R Narayan Murthy would be retiring in Dec 2012 and August next year respectively… It has been cautioned by Deloitte, a consultancy firm, that TATA Group and Infosys must not bring in outsiders as it would send a wrong message about leadership development within the respective groups… it has been said by the Senior Director of Deloitte that a successor from within the company would increase the probability of a positive transition as well as a successful future for the entity..wherease hiring an external successor brings great risk from the cultural fitment point of view… but Ratan Tata has to say that the successor should be the right person irrespective of cultural or cross national issues…
